Bernadette Duran practices in the area of eminent domain law. She represents business and property owners in direct and inverse condemnation litigation. She also represents public agencies in acquiring property for public use.

Ms. Duran obtained her B.A. in Political Science from Seattle University, graduating magna cum laude. While at Seattle University, Ms. Duran was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society, received an Outstanding Student of the Year Award, and was the chair person of numerous student organizations. She is also a recipient of the Campion Scholarship. Ms. Duran obtained her juris doctorate from the University of Southern California School of Law, where she participated in La Raza Law Student Association and the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF). She is the recipient of a USC Law Scholarship and a PILF Summer Grant.

During law school, Ms. Duran worked for the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice and the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office as a summer clerk. She also volunteered for Barrister’s Domestic Violence Clinic. Prior to joining California Eminent Domain Law Group, Ms. Duran worked for a small general litigation law firm.

Ms. Duran is licensed to practice law in California and is a member of the American Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
