The Mid County Parkway project is a proposed 16 mile highway in Riverside County, which would link San Jacinto in the east and Perris in the west. RCTC will attempt to acquire more than 350 parcels, in whole or in part, for the construction of the project. RCTC received environmental clearance for the project on August 17, 2015. RCTC now has a “green light” to move forward with acquisition and design. Two lawsuits have been filed to stop this project. Click here to Courthouse News Service article and click here to view The Center for Biological Diversity press release on the lawsuits.
RCTC is proceeding with final design for the first construction contract which consists of the the I-215/Placentia Interchange. RCTC currently acquiring right-of way for that portion of the project only.
