This project will extend BART service six-miles from the Berryessa Transit Center into downtown Santa Jose and ending in Santa Clara. These are the proposed stations:
- Diridon Station will be located adjacent to the south side of West Santa Clara Street, between Autumn Street and the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station;
- Downtown San Jose Station will be located between Market and Third Streets, below Santa Clara Street;
- Santa Clara Station will be located adjacent to the Santa Clara Caltrain Station and the Santa Clara University and will be end of the line station for VTA’s BART Phase II Extension;
- 28th Street/Little Portugal Station will be located between US-101 and 28th Street in northeast San Jose and bordered by St. James Street, Five Wounds Lane and 30th Street.
Currently, the acquisition process has started and is expected to take place over the next few years.
