The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (aka Metro or LACMTA) is evaluating a new light rail transit that will connect southeast LA county to downtown LA, serving the cities of unincorporated Florence-Graham community of LA county, Vernon, Huntington Park, Bell, Cudahy, South Gate, Downey, Paramount, Bellflower, Cerritos and Artesia. The project is a 19-mile corridor.
Currently, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has approved metro’s request for entry into the project development phase. Development is estimated to begin soon.
